30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (1)

There is nothing better than a piping hot pizza after a long day of work or a night out with friends. When the hunger for pizza hits you may not necessarily feel like heading to your local pizza joint or calling in for delivery. While you certainly could make a pizza from scratch, the preparation time of making a pizza isn't always in the cards.Sometimes a savory frozen pizza is precisely what the doctor ordered and there's no shortage of frozen pizzas to choose from.

The sheer variety of frozen pizza options in the frozen food aisle can be a bit overwhelming. So how does one go about selecting the absolute best frozen pizza? Lucky for you, we hit our local grocery store to find out which frozen pizzas were worth the hype and which are better left in the freezer. We ranked the 20 best frozen pizzas to help you on your next trip down the frozen foods aisle.

30. Simple Truth Organic Goat Cheese & Beet Sauce Ultra-Thin Crust Pizza

Here at Tasting Table, we love ourselves some goat cheese, so we were excited to try the Simple Truth Organic Goat Cheese & Beet Sauce Ultra-Thin Crust Pizza. Simple Truth is Kroger supermarkets' organic label, and they offer a variety of frozen pizzas under the brand. While we appreciated the organic ingredients, the colorful butternut squash and spinach, and the crème fraîche baked into the super thin crust, we felt that, overall, this frozen pizza missed the mark.

The goat cheese and beet sauce combination did not sit well with our taste testers. And while, as we mentioned, we love goat cheese and appreciate having it added to pizzas, after baking for the recommended 11-13 minutes, the French goat cheese pieces on this pizza didn't melt well, so it just didn't deliver that ooey-gooey, melt-in-your-mouth cheese flavor we all crave when eating pizza. Overall, this pizza had decent taste but did not climb to the top of our list.

29. Banza Chickpea Pizza

30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (3)

Banza

You have likely heard about chickpea pasta, but what about pizza? The famous chickpea pasta brand, Banza recently released pizzas, so we knew we had to add them to our list. With every Banza pizza, you're getting a nutrient-packed pie with added protein and fiber from their gluten-free chickpea crust. Compared to cauliflower options, you will feel fuller, longer.

Sounds like the best of both worlds, right? While we love a good gluten-free option, we felt like Banza just missed the mark on our taste scale. It also may be packed with protein and fiber, but if you eat this whole pizza, your stomach might be fuller than you would expect. With so many healthy and gluten-free options, we did not love the crust on this one compared to other options we tried. However, our favorite takeaway is Banza sells plain crusts so that you can add all the toppings you want at your leisure.

28. Totino's Party Pizza

30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (4)

Keith Homan/Shutterstock

It's not a party without Totino's! For the purpose of this article, we decided to try the Party Pizza Pack. Totino's Pizza Party Pack offers a pepperoni and cheese duo with four times the deliciousness in each box, so you can share it or have quadruple the amount for yourself.

This is not the kind of frozen pizza that will remind you of your favorite Sicilian pizzas. This is more like the frozen food you grab at night after too many drinks or for the kids after a long afternoon of playing sports. Whatever your reason for reaching, this greasy little pizza will satisfy your salty craving. While it can be tempting to microwave for more instant gratification, trust us on using the suggested oven method. Place your pizza, or two, directly on the middle rack and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. This will guarantee you a crispier, more delicious crust.

27. Caulipower Let's Go Halfsies

30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (5)

Caulipower

When you order out at your favorite pizza joint, there's the option to add certain toppings on only half the pizza. With most frozen pizzas, you don't have the same luxury. Now with Caulipower's Let's Go Halfsies, you can. Enjoy a half cheese, half pepperoni on a bigger than average crust, so you can have the best of both worlds or share with someone who has different topping preferences than you do. We'll let you know now, though; you might not want to share this delicious pizza.

What we love most about Caulipower and this pizza is it's free from all the junk you'll find on your average frozen pizza ingredient list. We're talking artificial colors, preservatives, all that jazz. Also, if you're gluten-free, this crust is made from cauliflower. We put it towards the bottom of our list, not only because it lacks flavor or isn't incredible, but also for the average pizza lover, the gluten-free crusts tend not wholly to satisfy like their gluten-filled counterparts.

26. Trader Joe's Roasted Garlic and Pesto Pizza

Trader Joe's strikes again. This time with their Roasted Garlic and Pesto Pizza with Deep Fried Crust. It's like if an Italian pizzeria pizza and a deep-fried fairgrounds pizza had a baby. When this pizza first hit the Trader Joe's frozen section, the store could barely keep them in stock. We got our hands on one to give you the unfiltered truth about the latest Trader Joe's frozen pizza. The results may surprise you.

The cooking process is an easy one with this garlic and pesto pizza. Simply pop it in the oven for 13 to 15 minutes. According to the back of the box, the dough goes through a special leavening and fermentation process. We expected to take a bite into a hearty Neapolitan-style crust, but were surprised to find that, although it was crispy around the edges, the top was on the softer and cakey side. The toppings, however, were spot on with a mix of four kinds of cheese: burrata, mozzarella, provolone, and Parmigiano. Then on top of that are big spots of pesto and sprinkles of garlic. We gave this a lower ranking because, although delicious, we were thrown off by the unexpected crust consistency.

25. Wegman's Bake & Rise Four Cheese Pizza

Can we address Wegman's incredible selection of pre-made dinners and frozen items? We felt like a kid in a candy store when we walked into this grocery store. The variety is impeccable, so we hoped it lived up to the brand's hype when we landed on the Wegman's Bake & Rise Four Cheese Pizza.

As you may tell by its ranking on our list, we had mixed reviews for this pizza. The four kinds of cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, romano, and asiago) perfectly complement one another, but the sauce lacked flavor compared to the other frozen pizzas. The biggest problem was the crust to sauce and cheese ratio. We feel strongly about pizzas providing the perfect seasoning and cheese to match the crust. This crust is incredibly thick and doughy, so dough lovers rejoice, but if you tend to gravitate towards slimmer crusts, this pizza is not for you.

24. Classico Thin Cut Quattro Formaggi

You can't beat the classics, and that's why Classico's Thin Cut Quattro Formaggi made the list of our 20 best-frozen pizzas. This four-cheese pizza has us feeling like we're on vacation in Naples with a glass of Chianti in hand. This Classico pizza serves provolone, asiago, mozzarella, and parmesan with sauce and basil on a thin crispy crust.

While we love a Quattro Formaggi pizza, we sent this brand to the bottom of our list because it did not quite stack up to the other four-cheese pizzas we reviewed. The best part of this pizza is the Classico tomato sauce. Classico is known for its sweet and delicious traditional pizza sauce consisting of simple ingredients like fresh tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, and basil. If you are in the market for a consistent, simple, and tasty pizza, this one is for you.

23. Milton's Cauliflower Crust Uncured Pepperoni Pizza

If you frequent the frozen food section, you likely have noticed cauliflower crusts are on the rise. Milton's, the popular gluten-free crackers and craft bread brand, has recently joined the frozen pizza market with artisan-inspired, pizzeria-quality certified Gluten-Free Thin & Crispy Cauliflower Crust Pizzas. We tried the uncured pepperoni flavor and were extremely impressed with the quality, taste, and ingredients.

Many cauliflower crusts do not hold their toppings well and can, overall, be a soggy pizza experience. This isn't the case with Milton's gluten-free cauliflower crusts, and these pizzas are a better-for-you pizza option without compromising taste or texture. With this line of gluten-free pizzas, you may think twice before ordering delivery again. And the best part is they are perfect for a meal in a pinch — under 15 minutes, to be exact! After trying the pepperoni, we're looking forward to tasting their Four Cheese, Roasted Vegetable, and Margherita variations too.

22. Caulipower Margherita Cauliflower Stone-Fired Crust Pizza

If you stay clear of gluten and seek out more grain-free pizza options, listen up. Caulipower is one of our favorite gluten-free options. This time we tried the Margherita Cauliflower Stone-Fired Crust Pizza, and it did not disappoint. Caulipowersays this is one of their best-selling pizzas, and we understand the hype.

This pizza serves up a generous amount of mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of a crispy stone-fired cauliflower crust. It's free from artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and gluten-free — always. It is also free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives, making us feel good about consuming yet another frozen pizza. Perfecting a delicious, crispy crust can be challenging — let alone one that's gluten-free. Caulipower has managed to provide restaurant-level crispiness straight from your freezer. While delicious, we will warn you this pizza is not as filling as its thicker-crusted, gluten-filled counterparts.

21. Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Cheese Pizza

Don't let this ranking fool you; the Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Cheese Pizza with cauliflower crust is one of our all-time favorites in the gluten-free department. This one was not higher on our list because not everyone is looking for a gluten-free option, and (due to its cauliflower crust) you can expect it to be on the very thin side of the crust spectrum.

Thisis one of those frozen pizzas you always want to have on hand. It's perfect for eating before a night out, splitting with friends as an appetizer, or even eating cold as delicious left-overs. This pizza is excellent alone, or you can add your favorite toppings like pepperoni, sausage, or veggies; and gets nice and crispy after only 20 minutes in the oven.

Pro Tip: Line the baking sheet or oven rack with aluminum foil before cooking to not stick to the pan. We learned this the hard way.

20. Whole Foods 365 Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza

Whole Foods continues to wow us with their selection of frozen foods, specifically the 365 brand, so it should be no surprise the 365 Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza made our top 20 list. This thin-crust pie is loaded with savory pepperoni layered over creamy mozzarella and tangy sauce over a thin, flaky crust. It serves the perfect amount of toppings for the thin crust to hold without having a flimsy mess on your hands.

Compared to some of the other frozen pizzas, we were pleased with the ingredients in this one. We threw ours directly on the oven rack for that pizza oven feel and drizzled some olive oil on top for added flavor. After a short 10 minutes, this pizza is ready to enjoy with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and a glass of wine. Be careful not to miss the timer; if this pizza stays in even slightly too long, it will burn.

19. Red Baron Deep Dish Singles Cheese Pizza

Are you craving a deep dish pizza that reminds you of your favorite Chicago pizza joint? Red Baron has you covered with its frozen Deep Dish Singles. For our taste test, we kept it simple and tried the cheese pizza flavor. This pie offers loaded mozzarella over a delicious sweet sauce contained in a thick, crispy deep-dish crust.

Compared to the other frozen pizzas on our list, the Red Baron Deep Dish Singles are personal pizzas. Two pizzas come in each box, so you can share with a friend, enjoy two separate meals, or indulge in both if you're extra hungry! The cheese blend is just right, as is the crispy crust. It's perfect for anyone who does not like a lot of toppings and appreciates gooey cheese flavors. The back of the pizza box provides microwave and oven instructions, but, trust us, you will definitely want to crisp up this pizza in your oven.

18. Tombstone Original 5 Cheese Pizza

You have heard of four cheese, but Tombstone is here to rock your world with their original five cheese pizza. Yes, you read that right, five different kinds of cheese are in this blend. Feast your eyes and tastebuds on delicious mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, asiago, and romano on a buttery crust.According to the brand's website, Tombstone uses ⅓ pound of cheese on each pizza — talk about flavor.

We've tried many cheese pizzas over the years, but this one is seriously a top contender. It packs so much flavor for a pizza without toppings. Usually, we suggest adding your favorite toppings with some frozen cheese pizzas, but the Tombstone Original 5 Cheese Pizza is perfect on its own. We found it in stock at many of our local grocery stores, so you should have no trouble picking up a box for your next pizza night.

17. Newman's Own All Natural Thin & Crispy Uncured Pepperoni Pizza

30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (15)

Target

According to Newman's Own, not all pepperoni is made from natural beef and pork. Thankfully, Newman's Own does not mess around and has pepperoni made from the real stuff, so we don't feel guilty about overindulging in their Thin & Crispy Uncured Pepperoni frozen pizza. Most notably for its multi-grain crust, this pizza received rave reviews from customers and our Tasting Table taste testers.

This frozen pizza offers superior taste, savory, authentic toppings, and it bakes in only 10 minutes — truly a pizza enthusiast's dream. The pepperoni and cheese complement one another perfectly, creating the perfect bite every time. If you are looking for a staple pizza to keep in the fridge, Newman's Own Thin & Crispy Uncured Pepperoni is a great option. We are looking forward to getting our hands on the other thin and crispy Newman's Own variations.

16. Freschetta Brick Oven Crust Spinach & Roasted Mushroom

We've reviewed more circular pizzas than not, so we introduce to you the Freschetta Brick Oven Crust Spinach & Roasted Mushroom Pizza. Inspired by Italian brick oven pies, Freschetta serves up an incredibly tasty fire-baked, square crust pizza. No matter what corner you snag, you will not be disappointed. Every inch of this pizza is covered with marinated mushrooms, spinach, and mozzarella cheese with their signature onion white sauce. Freschetta is delivering outstanding quality and taste for a frozen pizza.

This pizza is a great box to have on hand in the freezer when you want a non-traditional pizza guaranteed to satisfy. Since the pizza is cut in squares, the crust was incredibly crispy, and there was no shortage of toppings, which can sometimes be the case with frozen pizzas. We love this brand and are eyeing other varieties like Hawaiian for our next freezer run. If you want a change from your traditional pepperoni or cheese, this mushroom and spinach pizza is worth a try.

15. DiGiorno Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza

DiGiorno is taking frozen pizza to the next level with their Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Try saying that 10 times fast. Here at Tasting Table, we feel passionate about stuffed crust pizzas, so we set our expectations very high for this DiGiorno frozen creation. It did not disappoint.

Every bite of this DiGiorno is packed with melty cheese and bacon. This pie is crafted with delicious ranch, real mozzarella cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and juicy chicken. It's a meat and ranch lover's dream pizza. We love that there is already ranch sauce included, although we definitely added more to dip after cooking. To get the perfect crisp, follow the directions to bake the pizza for 18 to 20 minutes on the middle rack. This is one of the heartier pizzas on our list, making it a great option to share with family or friends. After only two or three slices, you'll be feeling full and satisfied guaranteed.

14. Newman's Own Thin & Crispy Supreme Pizza

Thin and crispy is right up our alley, so we knew we were going to enjoy Newman's Own Supreme Thin & Crispy Frozen Pizza served on light and crispy multigrain crust. This pizza is piled high with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and chunks of Italian sausage, and with a topping selection like that, it earned its Supreme name.

Our favorite thing about Newman's Own is the quick baking time. No one wants to endure a long wait for their pizza. You can enjoy this supreme pizza solo or with the whole family after a short 10 to 12 minutes in the oven. This Newman's Own thin and crispy pizza was crafted for you if you like meat. They do not skimp on pepperoni and sausage. And the best part of all is Newman's Own donates 100% of its profits to charity. This pizza brand is one your stomach and heart will feel good about indulging in.

13. Red Baron Brick Oven Crust Cheese-Trio Pizza

If you have not picked up on it yet, we're big cheese people over here at Tasting Table. Next up on our 20 best-frozen pizzas list, the Red Baron Brick Oven Crust Cheese Trio Pizza. These huge shreds of mozzarella and provolone blended with delicious parmesan cheese are loaded on this pizza. Get ready to bite into cheesy goodness and a thick golden crust. We prefer this three cheese blend over the four cheese counterpart, as it's really the perfect amount of cheese.

We've mentioned this with a few other pizzas, obviously since this is our favorites list, but we mean it when we say this is a freezer staple. Red Baron is also on the more budget-friendly side compared to many other frozen pizza options. We love a bang for your buck deal, especially when it's this delicious. Everyone in your house will agree that this pizza brand really hits those cheesy marks perfectly with this option.

12. Trader Joe's Cheese and Tomato Pizza

Trader Joe's comes through with another freezer must-have. This time we picked up a Trader Joe's Family Size Organic Cheese & Tomato Pizza to see if it was worth the hype. This ultra-thin pizza is on the broader side and is easy to cook regardless of its non-traditional size dimensions. We expected tomato slices on top per the name of this pizza but instead found the pizza uses tomato-heavy sauce compared to marinara to give it its unique taste.

Looking at this cheese and tomato pizza, we found it felt slightly elevated compared to Trader Joe's other options. However, if you tend to lean more towards a meaty supreme pizza, this relatively basic pie is not the one for you. Overall, we love the taste and style of this pizza. It's perfect for eating and saving for leftovers, sharing with friends, or for the whole family to grab a couple of squares.

11. California Pizza Kitchen Crispy Thin Crust Sicilian Recipe

California Pizza Kitchen delivers another delicious creation with its Crispy Thin Crust Sicilian Recipe frozen pizza. As the name suggests, this pizza is Sicilian inspired and packed with three different types of meat: Italian sausage, spicy ham, and genoa salami. Under the meaty toppings, you'll bite into mozzarella and fontina cheeses and zesty marinara sauce. Our favorite part about CPK frozen pizzas is the 100% real cheese, no artificial flavors, and preservative-free crust.

Now let's dive into the taste test. We were extremely impressed with how high quality the ingredients tasted on this pizza. The crust isn't your ordinary frozen pizza crust; rather, it looks and tastes like it was hand tossed at your local pizzeria. The pizza is topped with basil, which adds the perfect finishing touch to make this frozen pizza really feel gourmet. With the right amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings, this thin crust California Pizza Kitchen pizza is an ideal box to keep on hand for an easy and delicious meal.

10. DiGiorno Original Rising Crust Four Cheese Pizza

30 Popular Frozen Pizzas, Ranked Worst To Best - Tasting Table (22)

TonelsonProductions/Shutterstock

Another cheese pizza on the list, the DiGiorno Original Rising Crust Four Cheese Pizza is sliding into the number nine slot. And as the slogan goes (you've no doubt seen the commercials), "it's not delivery, it's Digiorno." Prepare yourself for the incredible flavor and smell of this rising crust pizza. It is packed with four different cheeses and the brand's signature sweet and tangy sauce.

DiGiorno has been a favorite of ours for years. C'mon, if mom is always keeping one of these in the freezer, you know it's going to be good. We love the rising crust, as it's the ideal amount of fluffy and crispy, and the cheese coverage is perfect for our liking. The DiGiorno Original Rising Crust Four Cheese Pizza is a frozen pizza you need to add to your weekly rotation. Trust us, this will be a favorite for anyone who tries it.

9. Tony's Pepperoni Pizza

Are you craving an ooey-gooey pepperoni pizza tonight? You're in luck because Tony's Pepperoni Pizza is a classic everyone will love. Tony's pepperoni pizza variety has a crispy golden crust with tomatoes, cheese, and savory pepperonis. It's so simple, yet incredibly delicious.

Tony's began when Tony Paglia and his brother-in-law set out to create the perfect pizza. Their secret was to knead the dough and then let it rise overnight. In the morning, they found the perfect dough for an incredible pizza. 50 years later, the brand is still creating authentic and consistent pizza. The box provides baking instructions for the pizzeria-style crust to ensure you also get this same pizzeria taste at home. Place your 'za directly on the rack at 400 degrees for 18 minutes, and you'll have yourself the taste of Italy in the comfort of your own home.

8. California Pizza Kitchen Thin Crust White Pizza

California Pizza Kitchen or CPK is a West Coast delicacy and we love its frozen restaurant-style pizza that fans can enjoy from home. California Pizza Kitchen has a wide variety of frozen pizza options; however, the Thin Crust White Pizza takes the cake(or pie). Sometimes thin crust does not get as crispy as we would like, but that was not the case with this pizza.

According to the ingredient list, the CPK white pizza contains spinach, garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, romano, and asiago cheeses over creamy garlic sauce on a preservative-free crust. We love the deliciously different topping combination and that it's a bit of a healthier option compared to many other frozen pizzas. And there's something about a white pizza that feels a little more elevated than your red pies. This CPK Thin Crust White Pizza is one of our must-keep in the freezer options to have on hand for when the time is right.

7. California Pizza Kitchen Crispy Thin Crust BBQ Chicken Pizza

CPK strikes again. We tried California Pizza Kitchen's frozenCrispy Thin Crust BBQ Chicken Pizza, and it did not disappoint. Dare we say it's as good at home as the restaurant version? You can expect seasoned white meat chicken, red onions, mozzarella, and gouda over sweet and tangy barbecue sauce and layered on a thin golden crust.

As you may have gathered, we are picky when it comes to frozen pizzas. The thin crust is crispy enough to give a good crunch in each bite, but not too flimsy that your toppings are overpowering the base. Many frozen pizzas are tomato sauce-based; however, this barbecue sauce pizza hit the spot in our taste test. Lastly, the high-quality chicken (and lots of it) sold us on this pizza. California Pizza Kitchen uses all-natural chicken raised without hormones or artificial ingredients. This pizza is a tasty frozen meal you can feel good about eating.

6. DiGiorno Crispy Pan Pepperoni Frozen Pizza

There's nothing better than extra crispy pizza crust. DiGiorno perfected the frozen pizza and is serving up deliciousness with its Crispy Pan Pepperoni frozen pizza. This caramelized crust is topped with real mozzarella and savory pepperoni, so it feels simple but packs a powerful flavor punch at the same time. It's pizza perfection right at home. As the famous tagline goes, "It's not delivery. It's DiGiorno" — and we might be forgoing delivery for this pie.

The DiGiorno Crispy Pan Pepperoni pizza blew us away during the taste test. The sauce-to-cheese ratio is spot on. The box includes a pan to cook the pizza, so it comes out perfectly crispy — but not too burnt where cutting becomes a challenge. We will absolutely be buying this frozen pizza again and cannot wait to try the other topping options. If you want that restaurant, deep-dish style pizza, this is the frozen pizza for you.

5. Amy's Barbecue Pizza

Did someone say barbecue? It was challenging for us to narrow down the wide selection of frozen pizzas at the store, but we knew we had to look at Amy's extensive frozen pizza lineup. After browsing the freezer aisle, we picked up a box of Amy's BBQ pizza and knew it was making the trip home and going straight in the oven.

It's no secret the barbecue sauce is the star of the show. It is the biggest differentiator compared to the more traditional pizzas on our list, and this sauce does not disappoint. The cheese is limited on this 'za, but we didn't mind. If the sauce is the star, we hate to suggest the crust as a supporting actor because it's delicious on its own right — dare we call it gourmet? If you put this on the table at a nice restaurant, we wouldn't believe it came from a box in the frozen food section.

4. Amy's 4 Cheese Pizza

Cheese, cheese, cheese, and more cheese. Amy's 4 Cheese Pizza packs a powerful cheesy punch of fontina, provolone, parmesan, and mozzarella. This type of pizza isa crowd favorite worldwide, and when we set out to find the best freezer versions, Amy's soared to the top of our list.

We love this frozen pizza, and even though there are four different kinds of cheese, it isn't all that overwhelming. (Heck, we love cheese so much we might even sprinkle a bit more on top after cooking.) Amy's layers this four-cheese mix with red sauce and a whole wheat crust; it's simple, yet satisfying.

Amy's as a brand has a reputation for offering delicious frozen foods made with organic ingredients and no GMOs. This pizza exemplified that excellent reputation and helped it capture the number four ranking.

3. Red Baron Classic Crust Pepperoni Pizza

The Red Baron Classic Crust Pepperoni Pizza is a classic and high on our list for a good reason. Who doesn't love crispy pepperoni on top of a gooey, cheesy, and thick golden crust?Red Baron explains it perfectly, "One bite, you'll know, you have reached pizza nirvana." Thanks to this classic crust pepperoni pizza, we can confirm this is true.

This classic frozen pizza is always a crowd-pleaser. Throw it in the oven after your kid's soccer practice, put it out with the appetizers for your dinner party, or toss it on the grill to enjoy next to the pool on a hot summer's day. This pizza is one to remember and is an excellent freezer staple when you need something to eat asap. You'll be glad the next time you decide to add this pizza to your grocery list.

2. Screamin' Sicilian Pizza Co. Bessie's Revenge Cheese

We're screaming over Screamin' Sicilian Pizza Co. Bessie's Revenge Cheese Pizza. (Say that name 10 times fast.) The Bessie's Revenge Cheese takes cheese pizza to another level. We're talking massive amounts of shredded mozzarella and white cheddar on their signature crust and secret tomato sauce. If you haven't gathered by this point in the article, we love cheese. But that's not all; they add even more mozzarella cheese on top, hence the box reading "ridiculous amounts of cheese." Yes, a double layer of cheese.

Some may think this is cheese overload, but we feel it was the perfect amount of cheesy deliciousness. We didn't think a frozen cheese pizza could be this good ... we were wrong. The simplicity of this pizza having no toppings makes it great for any meal and those picky pizza people in your life. Plus, its cheese-only format means you can always add the toppings of your choosing if you're really craving something specific.

1. Tombstone Roadhouse Loaded Double Down Deluxe Pizza

Rounding out the #1 spot on our best-frozen pizza list is the Tombstone Roadhouse Loaded Double Down Deluxe Pizza. This loaded pizza is piled high with pepperoni, Italian sausage, red and green peppers, caramelized onions, and two layers of mozzarella cheese, all on a thin and crispy crust (via Kroger). The Loaded Double Down Deluxe Pizza is not your average frozen grocery store pizza.

We pulled this bad boy out of the box, and all we can say is "hello cheese and toppings." When Tombstone says Double Down, they really meant it. This brand delivers a loaded pizza and gives you a serious bang for your buck. We love that this pizza provides a more high-end feel without the high-end brand price tag. In addition, the slices are much larger and thicker than other Tombstone Pizzas. After a late-night of drinking, a slice of the double-down deluxe hits the spot.
