How to Draw a Great Looking Simple Cute Mermaid for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Near the middle of the page, start with the bottom half of a heart shape. Sketch two short lines underneath, then add a diagonal line on each side pointing in the opposite direction.
On the left, draw two more diagonal lines pointing downward. Repeat this process on the right but at slightly different angles.

2. In the center of the body, make two ovals like an infinity symbol. Use a lightly curved line to complete the arm. Draw a half-oval for the palm, then use narrow hot dog shapes for the fingers.

3. Draw two straight lines to complete the right arm, and sketch two more loose hot dog shapes. Add curved lines on either side of the body, then connect them with another curved line underneath.

4. Sketch an oblong oval above the hand on the left. Underneath the body, use sweeping curves to draw a loose teardrop shape that curves upward at the point. Draw another loop for the last finger.
