Molly, Kerry, and Holly went on an ebike tour of Williamsburg as part of the statewide conference last week of the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association. New Kent County Planning Director Amy Inman helped organize and showed us all up by riding on her analog bike.

It was so much fun riding with the amazing women from PlanRVA! Here's a happy and beautiful pic from our Monday ride! Had so much fun on the Capital Trail "Where the World Comes to Ride" workshop on Sunday! It's just great to be on our bikes and having fun! It just demonstrates the need for safe streets that includes space for bikes and pedestrians! We all simply want to move around and arrive alive!! ❤️🚴♀️❤️🚴♀️❤️🚴♀️❤️🚴♀️❤️🚴♀️❤️

PlanRVA staff recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the collaborative efforts of the Berkeley Plantation, James River Association, Colonial Soil and Water Conservation District, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, and funding partners on the Berkeley Plantation Living Shoreline project. This project protects over 1,500 feet of shoreline, improves water quality, and enhances wildlife habitats along the James River. We're proud to see the work being done in our region to install nature-based solutions that make our shores more resilient and ecologically vibrant!
